Why Should You Join Phi Sigma Rho?
Phi Sigma Rho offers the perfect solution for a young female engineer to get involved in Greek life, and still have time for their studies. We participate in all aspects of Greek Life such as Homecoming, Greek Week, socials, as well as intramural sports. Joining Phi Sigma Rho not only introduces you to a smart and dedicated group of fellow women engineers, but also gets you involved with various campus activities. We are also active participants in HuskyTHON, an 18-hour Dance Marathon benefiting the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, and events promoting STEM to young girls.
Each semester we hold our own philanthropy to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Girls Scouts of America. Our spring semester philanthropy is called Lego Wars where organizations from all over UConn come together to compete to see who can build the best Lego design. Phi Rho 4 Square Competition is our Fall Philanthropy. We also attend and support the philanthropies of other organizations.
Through Phi Sigma Rho, our sisters develop the highest standard of personal integrity, strive for academic excellence, and build friendships that will last a lifetime.
